Implantable device prices decline

The Washington DC-based Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) released a study on its website on September 23 showing significant declines in average prices for major implantable medical devices. From 2007-2011 the average selling price of the seven largest categories of implantable medical devices declined substantially. Artificial hips and knees had average inflation-adjusted declines of 23% and 17%, respectively
