A Semi-Automatic Method of Deriving ‘is-a’ Relations from Text

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 286-291 Li Liu, Xiaoming Liu, Fangfang Li, Quan Qi Previous work has shown that automatic methods can be used in Terminology extraction, shallow parsing, clustering, and relation recognition. This work goes a step further by combining these methods to automatically create a hierarchy of Terminologies and their hyponyms, especially the ‘is-a’ relation.

The Application of Bridge Monitoring System Based on Wireless Sensor Networks

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 34-39 Lejiang Guo, Lin He, Chao Gao, Hongliang Gao In the light of current difficulties in bridge health monitoring, this paper introduces wireless sensor network into bridge monitoring .It builds a bridge health monitoring system based on wireless sensor network. With the design and implementation of the transmission standard for wireless sensor networks, the communication modules and network interface have achieved multi-parameter acquisition and multi-hop routing of the dispersed nodes in a bridge. It has designed a real-time health diagnosis system capability with each node and overall operation assessment to the current bridge, thus unifying the bridge’s observation, monitoring and safety assessment organically

Reversible Data Hiding Based on Histogram Mification and Pediction

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 292-297 Zhao Yantao, Wu Xijun, Lv Hongshi In this paper, a novel reversible data embedding based on histogram modification and prediction is presented. Since the data hiding scheme is reversible, the original image can be completely recovered after the secret message has been extracted from the stego-image

Fuzzy 2D Maximum Scatter Discriminant Analysis For Feature Extraction

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 40-46 Jianguo Wang, Changying Zhou, Hongbo Yao A novel method of face image feature extraction, called the fuzzy 2DMSD (F2DMSD) based on the 2D maximum scatter discriminant analysis and fuzzy set theory, is proposed. In the proposed one, the membership degree matrix is calculated by FKNN, then the membership degree is incorporated into the definition of the between-class scatter matrix and the within-class scatter matrix

Domino: A Lattice Shaped Concurrent Sequential Control System

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 298-305 Jin Shu, Jin Xiao-lu, Liu Zhi-Chao To enhance the concurrency of the traditional sequential/program control systems, which adopt naive linear sequential ways of control step transition, the Domino sequential control system supports the simultaneous triggering of multiple control sequences and steps. Moreover, as the solution for the control flow continuation when a step failure is encountered, a two-way conditional transition mechanism is implemented through performing control steps bypathing. With the cooperation of the script engine embedded and a GUI configurator, Domino empowers users to customize control sequences to service all sorts of complicated control requirements proposed in the engineering of industrial automation systems.

The Characters of Biorthogonal Two-directional Finitely Supported Wavelet Wraps with Three-scaled Filter Banks

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 234-239 Honglin Guo This research proposes a novel method constructing two-directional biorthogonal wavelet wraps. The notion of biorthogonal two-directional finitely supported bivariate wavelet wraps with three-scale is introduced. Their properties is investigated by means of time-frequency analysis method, matrix theory, iteration method and operator theory

Modeling, Simulating and Experiment of an Autonomous Surface Vehicle

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 314-318 Jianhua Wang, Changfeng Chen, Pingping Huang, Wei Gu, Jianxin Chu This paper presents a nonlinear model of a catamaran-style Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) thrust with twin fixed propellers, which are driven by DC electric motors. A total model including resistance of boat body, propulsion force and driving characteristics of motor is established. Response for a full range of the ASV motion is simulated according to the model, based on which the performance of the ASV is discussed.

Design of ZCZ Sequences with Inter-Group Orthogonal Properties for CDMA Communication Systems

December 28, 2011

Publication year: 2011 Source: Energy Procedia, Volume 11, 2011, Pages 240-248 Zhenyu Zhang, Fanxin Zeng, Yi Liu, Guixin Xuan This paper introduces a method to generated inter-group orthogonal (IGO) zero correlation zone (ZCZ) sequences suitable for code division multiple access (CDMA) communication systems. The designed IGO ZCZ sequence set can be divided into multiple sequence groups with each sequence group including the same number of sequences and the same ZCZ width. Every sequence group in the whole IGO ZCZ sequence set can be considered as a traditional ZCZ sequence set
