UNC Greensboro opens enrollment for online education in kinesiology doctorate

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) will offer the nation’s first online doctorate of education degree in kinesiology beginning in fall 2014, university officials announced in March. The new EdD program is designed for kinesiology professionals with at least three years of experience to complete in four years while they continue to work. UNCG Department of Kinesiology faculty recognized for their teaching and scholarship in human movement and physical activity will teach the course, according to the university, and include two recent National Academy of Kinesiology inductees, Sandy Shultz, PhD, ATC, CSCS, professor and department chair, and Jenny Etnier, PhD, professor and director of graduate studies.
